Make the Switch to a Saltwater Pool
Want a pool that’s easier on your skin, hair and wallet? A saltwater pool might be the answer! Converting your chlorine pool to a saltwater system has many benefits from softer water to less chemicals. At Aqua Clear Pool Care we make the process easy, stress free and seamless.
Why Go Saltwater?
Going saltwater isn’t just fashionable – it’s also smart. Here’s why homeowners are making the switch:
- Softer, Silkier Water: Goodbye harsh chlorine feel
- More Consistent Chlorine Levels: The salt cell produces chlorine naturally and consistently
- Better for Skin & Eyes: No more red eyes or dry itchy skin after a swim! Saltwater is gentler on your body
- Lower Maintenance Costs: Less chemical treatments and maintenance supplies over time
- No Chlorine Odor: Cleaner, fresher swimming
- Eco–Friendly: Less chemical additives means saltwater pools are more sustainable
The Saltwater Conversion Process
Converting your pool to saltwater is easy with Aqua Clear Pool Care. Here’s how we do it:
System Assessment: We assess your current pool system to determine the best solution.
Equipment Installation: For a saltwater pool we install a salt cell (salt chlorine generator) and a power generator. It’s important to match the brand of the salt cell to your existing automation system (e.g. Jandy, Pentair or Hayward). The most common options are:
- Pentair Intellichlor
- Jandy Aquapure
- Jandy Truclear
- Hayward TurboCell (or T-Cell)
- Hayward Aquarite
- CMP Powerclean
We also make sure the salt cell is sized correctly for your pool’s gallon capacity for optimal performance.
Water Preparation: Add salt to the pool – 5 to 10 bags of 40 lbs depending on your pool size.
Balancing & Testing: Once the salt is added we balance and test the water to get the salinity levels right.
Initial Startup: Turn it on and we make sure everything is working smoothly.
